ABOUT ME
Growing up in Miami, Florida, there was always something going on in the news that would keep me glued to the Television. Throughout the years, my passion for broadcast journalism and TV production has grown tremendously and impeccably.
I currently attend New York University pursuing a double major Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Social & Cultural Analysis with a minor in Producing and Documentary. I am currently working at W-KMG News 6 CBS Orlando as a News Production Intern through the Emma Bowen Foundation Fellowship program. I am also at Washington Square News, NYU's newspaper, as the Video Director for the WSN Multimedia Desk. I have filmed and edited interviews and events that have been reported on and published through their online and social media outlets.

I completed my High School Diploma at John A. Ferguson Senior High School in South West Miami Dade. I was a student in my high school's TV production program, Ferguson's Broadcasting Network, or FBN for short. We broadcasted a daily live morning show, called FBN News, and a weekly recorded show, called FALCON VISION, to a student body of over 4,000 students in the largest school in Miami-Dade County. In this TV production program, we are taught all the necessary skills to be a part of this industry.

As a 19-year-old student, I have attended several conventions and competitions in the journalism and media field. In July 2021, I was awarded a Student Production Award by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Suncoast Chapter for my work on FBN's FALCON VISION during the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdowns. I am honored to have received several awards from the Florida Scholastic Press Association, such as an All Florida, to Excellences and Honorable Mentions for my work in different news packages and video projects. The Florida Scholastic Press Association has also named me one of their 2021 Broadcast Journalist of the Year Finalists. I have also been awarded First Place by The Miami Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, for their annual e-Creative Visions Challenge allowing students like me to showcase all the arts in their schools through audio/visual art forms.

Being certified in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020 & 2015 has taught me the essentials of video editing with industry-used software. I have also become certified in the Microsoft Office Suite, becoming a Microsoft Office Specialist and Microsoft Technology Associate in the Operating System Fundamentals, Security Fundamentals, and Networking Fundamentals branches. I am also currently preparing to certify in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe InDesign.

I have produced videos for organizations such as the Miami-Dade County Public School District & School Board, Miami-Dade Police Department, Santa's Enchanted Forest Holiday Amusement Park, and Embajadores Del Arte.

My interest in the field of broadcast journalism and the media is deeply rooted in my life as I am pursuing a career in this industry. Telling a story and informing the public through video and sound is my passion.
